ATO Magazine Shares a Secret for President's Day
Greetings,
This President’s Day weekend holiday finds us with something old, something new, and something of a secret to share with you. Read on to learn more!
What’s Old
The latest Annual with Operation Roundup was released. Everyone in the USA should have their copies by now. International readers should allow for another 4 to 5 weeks for theirs to arrive. Contact admin@atomagazine.com if your copy hasn’t arrived yet.
This issue is now available off the website as an ordinary Annual back issue. Click on the link here or the image above to learn more about it.
What’s New
Up next from Against the Odds and available for pre-order is a pair of solitaire games in a package called Cities of the Damned appearing in ATO issue #60.
In early 1944 the western half of the German “Winter Line” in Italy was anchored by the town of Cassino high up on Monte Cassino, which also featured a centuries old Benedictine Abbey atop the peak. The position utterly dominated the surrounding valleys, so much so Allied troops HAD to take it to continue advancing on Rome. It took nearly 5 months and resulted in 55,000 Allied casualties. Explore this terrifying landscape with Cities of the Damned – Cassino.
Then in late 1944, fresh from a string of victories across the length of France, the US Command set its sights on taking the supposedly weakly held German city of Aachen. The Americans confidently made plans to surround the city, isolate it, and accept its surrender. Instead, the GIs advancing into the city would soon be fighting in the nightmare battlefield called Cities of the Damned – Aachen.
The “Secret” of Stalingrad
We had a terrific Kickstarter campaign to raise funding for our next Annual featuring Stalingrad: Verdun on the Volga. We realize that some may be leery of Kickstarter programs but still want in on all the goodies. So we’ve created a dedicated (but not too visible) page on our website to allow everyone a second chance to order the full Kickstarter version of SVoV with all the trimmings. Totally outside the KS system, you won’t be sharing your info with anyone else but us. The secret is this page will only be up for a short while to give everyone an opportunity to join in, then the page will revert back to an ordinary pre-order page for the standard vanilla edition.
Sound neat? You can check it out by clicking on the image above or here on this link.
A Last Word on Subscriptions
Note that we are still selling subscriptions but that the new/renewal subscription webpages have been turned off. Basically, just write us an e-mail at sales@atomagazine.com saying you’re interested and want a 4 issue sub (with or without the latest Annual). We control things this way so no one can go over the bingo expiration issue of #65. We'll check out if you'd go over the limit, and then use PayPal to send you a (secure) request for money, and you can use your own PayPal account to pay for it (PayPal will also allow you to use a credit card now, even if you don't have a formal PayPal account). Again, while accepting subscriptions are being cut off to end at issue #65, we intend to keep publishing issue past that date.
Thanks for Reading!
